1 2 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) 4 R Kingscote Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and shortly after was then hampered when crowded by SPARKLE AND GOLD which shifted in. Shortly after the start was steadied and shifted to the inside of MR GOOD VIBES to obtain a position closer to the rail. Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 3 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) 6 D B McMonagle After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ALWAYS MY FOLKS at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ALWAYS MY FOLKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
6 4 HAPPY BOYS (J545) 11 L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Again approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of NOBLE DELUXE.
13 5 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) 8 A Atzeni A Atzeni could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment.

He said after following PAPAYA BROSE making the Home Turn when it commenced to improve in the Home Straight his mount was unable to respond and finished the race only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
1 6 PAPAYA BROSE (L264) 8 H Bowman Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. Leaving the 400 Metres shifted out and away from VIVA BOSS. Sent for sampling post-race.
14 7 VIVA BOSS (L139) 7 A Badel Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Leaving the 400 Metres when racing greenly became unbalanced and shifted out and away from FREE PONY.

2 9 PRESTIGE HALL (K040) 10 Z Purton Jumped only fairly. In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from PAPAYA BROSE. Leaving the 400 Metres was inconvenienced when taken wider by PAPAYA BROSE which shifted out and away from VIVA BOSS when that runner shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 10 SUPREME VOYAGER (L043) 1 Y L Chung (-2) Jumped only fairly. Near the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of WATCH THIS ONE to obtain clear running. Over the final 200 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be ridden out fully to the finish of the race. Y L Chung reported that he was asked to settle the horse where comfortable and not to make use of it in the early stages as SUPREME VOYAGER has a tendency to race keenly. He added in the early and middle stages SUPREME VOYAGER raced fiercely for some distance near the 900 Metres and was checked when positioned close to HAYDAY.
13 11 MADE FOR LIFE (L005) 14 K C Leung K C Leung reported that from the outside barrier his instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner, similar to the way it was ridden when it barrier trialed on 26 January 2026. He added in the Home Straight MADE FOR LIFE raced greenly and finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MADE FOR LIFE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
8 12 WATCH THIS ONE (K268) 4 A Atzeni For some distance near the 300 Metres raced tight between HAYDAY and LITTLE MONSTER which shifted in. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running when positioned behind HAPPY PARK.

14 8 PEARL OF PANG'S (J447) 14 A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that he was instructed to settle his mount where comfortable. He said the horse jumped well but in the early stages did not show early pace and when he was concerned there was something amiss with it he eased it down from the event in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PEARL OF PANG’S, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PEARL OF PANG’S will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, GLORIASTAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 13 SMILING FALCON (K459) 4 R Kingscote Over the final 100 Metres lay out and approaching the winning post its rider R Kingscote was obliged to stop riding and straighten his mount when it shifted out.

9 4 MASTER PHOENIX (J516) 8 C Y Ho Approaching the 800 Metres improved to the inside of BETTER AND BETTER. A short distance later BETTER AND BETTER shifted in when being steadied, resulting in MASTER PHOENIX being crowded in onto KIAMA, causing MASTER PHOENIX to become unbalanced when it made contact with KIAMA. Shifted out leaving the 600 Metres and was bumped. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 5 SUPERB BOY (G335) 4 H Bowman Bumped on jumping. H Bowman stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond and when he was concerned there was something amiss with the horse from the 200 Metres he eased it down over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
13 6 GOOD LUCK HAPPY (K301) 10 Z Purton Z Purton reported that his mount raced keenly when obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding. Trainer A S Cruz advised that the horse had pleased him leading into the race and stated, in his opinion, GOOD LUCK HAPPY was disadvantaged by being obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of GOOD LUCK HAPPY was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD LUCK HAPPY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

10 8 QUICK MONEY (K377) 13 C L Chau (-2) Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 600 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by MASTER PHOENIX which shifted out.
3 9 RUSSET GLOW (L059) 1 L Hewitson On jumping made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground. Near the 800 Metres was bumped by KIAMA. Lay out when under pressure over the final 200 Metres.

K Teetan reported that the instructions were to settle the horse where comfortable. He said when his mount commenced well he was able to hold a more forward position than it had at its previous race starts.
7 12 KIAMA (K359) 3 D B McMonagle Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 800 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by MASTER PHOENIX.
6 13 SO MY FOLKS (K456) 9 B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid QUICK MONEY. B Avdulla stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position with cover. Trainer C S Shum confirmed the instructions and stated he issued such instructions as SO MY FOLKS had not been finishing its races off when ridden forward and he was also of the view it was advantaged to settle back in the field and make a wide run in the Home Straight.
4 14 BETTER AND BETTER (K277) 7 M Guyon Near the 800 Metres was steadied to obtain a position with cover behind ETERNAL RICHNESS. A short distance later BETTER AND BETTER was then steadied when crowded between ETERNAL RICHNESS and GOOD LUCK HAPPY (Z Purton) which shifted in. Z Purton was reprimanded. BETTER AND BETTER then raced keenly throughout the middle stages and near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid ETERNAL RICHNESS. Near the 300 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOOD LUCK HAPPY when being shifted to the outside of that runner. Sent for sampling post-race.

K Teetan stated that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a consequence was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 3 BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) 8 B Avdulla Blundered on jumping and shortly afterwards was bumped by TALENTS AMBITION which shifted out. B Avdulla stated that the intention was to find a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground.
9 4 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) 9 D B McMonagle After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse was found to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment.
4 5 PACKING ANGEL (J454) 5 L Hewitson Near the 300 Metres lay in, resulting in its rider L Hewitson having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
6 6 SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127) 2 Z Purton Leaving the 300 Metres raced tight between VOYAGE SAMURAI and BEAUTY ETERNAL, both of which shifted ground.
10 7 VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026) 3 K C Leung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, VOYAGE SAMURAI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
7 8 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) 7 M L Yeung Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. When questioned regarding his riding making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight M L Yeung stated that after settling back in the field and with the early stages of the race being run outside of standard time he felt it was necessary to make a move from the 500 Metres to improve. He said when he was of the opinion TALENTS AMBITION was travelling well he endeavoured to obtain clear running between ENCOUNTERED and GORGEOUS WIN near the 450 Metres but when GORGEOUS WIN held its position he was held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres when unable to improve. He added near the 350 Metres he then steadied his mount and directed it to the outside of GORGEOUS WIN to obtain clear running. When questioned if there was an opportunity to follow the winner STUNNING PEACH into the race Jockey Yeung conceded with the Stewards that in retrospect he should have maintained his position behind that runner which would provide him with a clear run into the Home Straight. Having regard to the explanation provided and verifying that the early stages of the event were run outside of standard time Jockey Yeung was advised that whilst the Stewards were of the opinion he had made an error of judgement in attempting to improve to the outside, they found the reason he made such a decision was reasonable in the circumstances.
3 9 REGAL GEM (K258) 10 A Badel Jumped awkwardly and made heavy contact with the left side of its starting gate and lost ground. From the outside barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
1 10 STUNNING PEACH (J301) 4 Y L Chung (-2) Approaching the 500 Metres made contact with ENCOUNTERED on a number of occasions when being shifted out to improve. Sent for sampling post-race.

He added soon after AMAZING FUN was under pressure but when he was concerned there was something amiss with the horse he did not ride it out in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of AMAZING FUN was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING FUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.

He added after the 400 Metres he endeavoured to improve into a run between MASTER OF ALL and THE UNIQUE STAR which resulted in his mount making contact with MASTER OF ALL. He said after this NEW FUTURE FOLKS finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SERAPH GABRIEL was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, SERAPH GABRIEL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

When Mr Shum declined to lodge a protest/objection and the Stewards were satisfied there were not sufficient grounds weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight between ENTHRALLED and THE AUSPICIOUS.

7 12 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) 9 M Guyon Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration as to whether there were grounds for a protest/objection against FORTUNE BOY being declared the 4th placegetter following interference to THE AUSPICIOUS which occurred near the 100 Metres and again approaching the winning post. After viewing the patrol films and taking into account the margin of one length between the two runners at the finish of the event, the Stewards declined to lodge a protest/objection when they were satisfied there were not sufficient grounds to do so. Accordingly, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. H Bentley pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of THE AUSPICIOUS, resulting in THE AUSPICIOUS being taken in, making heavy contact with RELIABLE PROFIT, resulting in THE AUSPICIOUS becoming unbalanced. After assessing the carelessness grade 1, the consequences grade 2, the contribution of a minor shift out from RELIABLE PROFIT and also having regard to Jockey Bentley’s excellent record, the Stewards determined the appropriate penalty to be a reprimand. Over the concluding stages became unbalanced when crowded between FORTUNE BOY which shifted in slightly and RELIABLE PROFIT which raced tight to the outside of ENTHRALLED. Trainer Y S Tsui confirmed that he had instructed M Guyon to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He added the horse settled in a forward position at its most recent start when the pace of the early stages were run outside of standard time.

He added as SUPER EXPRESS was laying in at that point he elected to allow it to shift in towards the rail to improve to the inside of RIDING TOGETHER so that the horse would not resist his efforts to maintain its position away from the rail. He said after obtaining a position on the rail near the 300 Metres SUPER EXPRESS raced truly to the winning post and he was able to fully test his mount over the final 300 Metres.
