10 1 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) 8 D B McMonagle After travelling a short distance shifted in and made contact with RICH HORSE after being bumped by CHILL MASTER. Near the 350 Metres COUNTRY DANCER attempted to improve into a run between CHILL MASTER and RICH HORSE when there was not sufficient room to do so. A short distance later MY FLYING ANGEL then shifted out to improve, resulting in RICH HORSE shifting out and COUNTRY DANCER then having to be checked and blundering when it made contact with CHILL MASTER. The Stewards were satisfied that there was not sufficient room for Jockey D B McMonagle to improve at that point and advised him in similar circumstances he should ensure that he exercises more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a laceration to its right front fetlock.
8 2 TOP TO SKY (K339) 6 K C Leung Lay in near the 600 Metres and made slight contact with LUCKY GENERATIONS. K C Leung reported that, in his opinion, the horse would be better suited by being stepped back up in distance to 1400 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
3 3 KING ALLOY (K099) 11 R Kingscote No report.
5 4 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) 12 M Guyon No report.
4 5 CHILL MASTER (J319) 9 C L Chau (-2) Shortly after the start was crowded by ORIENTAL SURPRISE which shifted in slightly. Near the 350 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by COUNTRY DANCER.

12 7 RICH HORSE (J191) 7 M F Poon Jumped only fairly. After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when bumped by COUNTRY DANCER which shifted in. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
9 8 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) 4 K Teetan Near the 400 Metres was momentarily crowded by MY FLYING ANGEL (A Badel) which shifted in. A Badel was advised to exercise more care.
1 9 LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338) 1 E C W Wong (-5) On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by TAIHANG SCENERY which shifted in. In the middle stages raced keenly. Near the 600 Metres made contact with TOP TO SKY when racing tight to the inside of that runner. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 10 TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) 2 L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and was bumped. L Hewitson stated that approaching the first turn his mount got its head up and shifted out, resulting in it making contact with SONIC BOOM. He said TAIHANG SCENERY then continued to race ungenerously for some distance thereafter before giving ground in the Home Straight. He added, in his opinion, TAIHANG SCENERY would be better suited over 1000 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of TAIHANG SCENERY was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, TAIHANG SCENERY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) 10 Z Purton Z Purton stated that from a wide barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race.

10 3 SIR CHARGE (K361) 6 D B McMonagle Bumped on jumping. D B McMonagle advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position. Trainer D Eustace confirmed the instructions and stated he issued such instructions as SIR CHARGE had been racing in a disappointing manner when being ridden back in the field. He added his decision to go forward was also influenced by the fact that SIR CHARGE had performed well when ridden in a forward position when it raced in Australia.
12 4 IMPRESSIVE CHAMP (K522) 5 B Avdulla In the middle stages raced keenly when endeavouring to find a position with cover behind BITS SUPERSTAR. When giving ground over the concluding stages was eased when it shifted in towards FULL OF LAUGHTER.

5 1 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) 7 B Avdulla When questioned B Avdulla stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to hold a handy position if possible. He said CALIFORNIATOTALITY jumped only fairly and when SOLEIL FIGHTER and SKY HEART showed good speed in the early stages and he was positioned to the outside of AWESOME FLUKE and SWORD POINT, which he had expected would go forward, he elected to shift CALIFORNIATOTALITY behind runners in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground. He added his tactics were also influenced by the fact that CALIFORNIATOTALITY was racing first up from a break and was carrying top weight of 135 lbs. Trainer A S Cruz confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with Jockey Avdulla’s decision to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages, particularly having regard to the way it commenced the race and the fact that it was carrying top weight in the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 2 HUGE WAVE (J197) 4 A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
7 3 SWORD POINT (G448) 6 K C Leung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
6 4 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) 5 A Atzeni On jumping was bumped by SWORD POINT which shifted in. Raced wide and without cover in the early stages and was ridden forward where it obtained a position outside the lead near the 1000 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
1 5 SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127) 1 H Bowman When questioned H Bowman stated that the intention was to lead the event if circumstances permitted. He said after SOLEIL FIGHTER commenced well he rode his mount in a positive manner in the early stages to show intent to lead and was able to hold the front as instructed. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions issued and stated that at the horse’s most recent start on 19 February 2026 SOLEIL FIGHTER raced keenly when behind runners and this was the main reason that he had requested Jockey Bowman to endeavour to hold the lead. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 6 SKY HEART (J092) 2 E C W Wong (-5) When questioned E C W Wong stated that the instructions were to lead the event but if the pace was too strong he was given the option of taking a position with cover. He said after SKY HEART commenced well and was positioned to the outside of SOLEIL FIGHTER he elected to take a position with cover and allow SWORD POINT and AWESOME FLUKE to cross his mount in the early stages. He added as a consequence SKY HEART settled further back in the field than intended. He said from the 700 Metres he placed SKY HEART under pressure, however, the horse lay in from that point, particularly in the Home Straight, and proved difficult to ride out. He said he was further placed in some difficulty as he was riding the horse on a long rein which did not provide him with the necessary leverage to properly straighten the horse in the Home Straight. Trainer C Fownes confirmed that the instructions were to lead and indicated that, in his view, Jockey Wong had made the decision to ride the horse with cover too prematurely. After considering the evidence the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 7 JUMBO LEGEND (G266) 3 K Teetan Jumped awkwardly. Over the concluding stages had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a tight run between SOLEIL FIGHTER and HUGE WAVE.

He added GIMME FIVE was not comfortable racing in amongst other horses and performs best when able to dictate from in front. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small abrasion to its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GIMME FIVE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
3 11 ICONICAL (J504) 9 M Chadwick Near the 600 Metres made contact with GIMME FIVE due to both runners shifting ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

10 DH 4 BUSTLING CITY (L210) 5 Z Purton Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with BUNDLE OF CHARM. When questioned Z Purton stated that his mount raced keenly throughout the event and refused to settle. He said as a result for some distance in the middle stages he was obliged to restrain his mount to avoid SILVER SPURS. He added due to the manner in which the horse raced during the early and middle stages it was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. He further stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount blundered leaving the 200 Metres and as a result he did not fully test it over the concluding stages when not in a competitive position. Trainer D A Hayes advised that the horse had pleased him leading into tonight’s race but having regard to the performance he would now give the horse a freshen-up before its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of BUSTLING CITY was considered disappointing.
