As the Stewards were satisfied that WINNING DATA improved to the inside of WHOWROTETHATSONG as WHOWROTETHATSONG was commencing to shift in, Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care. Leaving the 400 Metres WHOWROTETHATSONG improved into a narrow run to the inside of WINNING DATA. A short distance later WINNING DATA was taken in slightly by INCANTO STAR, resulting in WHOWROTETHATSONG shifting in and away from WINNING DATA, crowding the running of AUTOMATED. Y L Chung was advised in similar circumstances he must ensure that there is sufficient racing room when improving into runs. He said notwithstanding this he was still disappointed with the horse’s finishing effort as the horse had pleased him in the lead up to tonight’s race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of RED REA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, RED SEA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
