5 8 WONDER KIT (G455) Shifted out on jumping, resulting in its rider having to straighten his mount. In the Home Straight had some difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned to the inside of BABY CRYSTAL.
6 10 SKY TRUST (J161) No report.
7 7 MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325) Jumped awkwardly. Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres lay in as it improved into a narrow run between BRAVE STAR and WONDER KIT.
8 5 DANCING CODE (G365) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between MID WINTER WIND and GORGEOUS WIN which was taken out by LADY’S CHOICE. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that after being crowded at the start DANCING CODE settled further back than anticipated and found it difficult to make up ground from back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 12 BRAVE STAR (G268) On jumping was crowded by WONDER KIT which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
10 4 YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) Jumped only fairly. In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between DANCING CODE and GORGEOUS WIN (H Bowman) which shifted out. H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.
11 3 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) Crowded at the start. After the event H Bowman stated that his mount responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight and shortened stride during the middle stages of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 9 MID WINTER WIND (K208) Shifted in on jumping and was bumped on the hindquarters. After the event L Hewitson stated that his mount came under pressure at the 500 Metres and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
