1 6 NINJA DERBY (H339) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 STORM RUNNER (J452) Bumped at the start. Near the 350 Metres improved to the inside of PERPETUAL POWER and made contact with GOLD TACK. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 SUPER SICARIO (K306) Leaving the 1600 Metres when being crossed by NINJA DERBY got its head up when racing keenly. In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
4 8 WAH MAY WAI WAI (J193) Shortly after the start was bumped by ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT which shifted out.
5 1 STAR BROSE (J463) Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of COOL BLUE to continue into clear running. B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to settle where comfortable. He said after STAR BROSE jumped awkwardly and made contact with WAH MAY WAI WAI it settled further back in the field than he had anticipated.
6 9 GOLD TACK (H106) Near the 350 Metres STORM RUNNER improved to the inside of PERPETUAL POWER when that runner shifted out. A short distance later PERPETUAL POWER (M Guyon) shifted back in, resulting in STORM RUNNER making slight contact with GOLD TACK and STORM RUNNER then being turned in due to the contact, resulting in GOLD TACK having to be steadied when crowded. The Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Guyon had endeavoured to correct his mount when it shifted back in. No action was taken.
7 10 COOL BLUE (H011) Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from SILVER KING.
8 4 FURY AND GOLD (H202) Bumped at the start.
9 11 LITTLE FAIRY (H206) Bumped at the start.
10 5 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Near the 300 Metres was hampered when being shifted out to avoid PERPETUAL POWER. J McDonald could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 PERPETUAL POWER (J326) Near the 300 Metres shifted out and away from STORM RUNNER.
12 12 SILVER KING (H420) Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. The performance of SILVER KING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SILVER KING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
