Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, WELL BEST bounded in the air, then shifted in abruptly, as a consequence of this got back. GOLD RICE BOWL left the gates a little awkwardly, shifted ground and brushed ROMANTIC FORTUNE. In the early stages, EAGLEBROOK proved difficult to settle, pulled, got its head up and was inclined to lay out. About the 600 Metres, MUNDAHISH shifted in slightly and bumped EAGLEBROOK which became unbalanced, shifted ground and struck the running rail. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, GOLD RICE BOWL hung out badly. On straightening, WHATA FEELING was steadied and shifted out to find running and go forward. For some distance approaching the 200 Metres, WELL BEST was held up for running. After the 200 Metres, as WELL BEST obtained running between UTMOST EASY and EAGLEBROOK, it shifted ground slightly and brushed EAGLEBROOK which was giving ground. As a consequence, EAGLEBROOK was momentarily unbalanced, shifted out and brushed MUNDAHISH. About the 200 Metres, SIGHT FIRST was steadied and shifted out initially across the heels of GOOD CHANCE and after this across the heels of PAR AVION. EAGLEBROOK, WELL BEST and UTMOST EASY were sent for sampling.
