Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, FLASH MAC was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, trotted up and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. SHANGHAI DELIGHT and EASY GAME were a little slow to begin. WIN FOR ABALONE was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between FLASH MAC and EASY GAME. In the early stages, NEWSWIRE proved difficult to settle and raced with its head up. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FLASH MAC, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of ZHI YOU SPIRIT, shifted out and bumped SAVINGS ACCOUNT which as a result became unbalanced behind. After this, FLASH MAC continued to prove difficult to settle and near the 700 Metres was steadied away from the heels of ZHI YOU SPIRIT. SHANGHAI DELIGHT, which was following FLASH MAC, was steadied in consequence. At the 300 Metres, WIN FOR ABALONE was momentarily steadied and shifted in to avoid the heels of SAMMY TREASURE which was drifting out. For a considerable distance after the 300 Metres, SPECTACULAR TIMES was held up and unable to improve between SOARING ANGEL and NEWSWIRE which commenced to give ground. After the 200 Metres, NEWSWIRE was crowded for room inside SPECTACULAR TIMES which improved into a narrow run on the inside of SOARING ANGEL which itself drifted out slightly at this time. From a gate towards the outside, LOK WAH TREASURE travelled wide throughout and for the majority of the race without cover. FLASH MAC was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FLASH MAC after the race did not show any significant findings. SPECTACULAR TIMES, ZHI YOU SPIRIT and SHANGHAI DELIGHT were sent for sampling.
