Racing Incident Report
On jumping, HORACE'S HORSE was checked when crowded for room between UNIVERSAL KOMISSAR and WONDERFUL BOY which shifted in. In this incident, inconvenience was also caused to UNIVERSAL KOMISSAR. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, BEAMING RIVER hung out. Approaching the 800 Metres, SUPER SPECIAL raced tight inside RARE COLLECTION which got its head on the side and hung in away from MAJIN BUU. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SOUTH CHINA NINETY was checked when crowded for room inside the hindquarters of BEAMING RIVER which shifted in after being bumped by WONDERFUL BOY (D Whyte) which shifted in at this time. D Whyte was reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. CONSTELLATION, which was following SOUTH CHINA NINETY, was inconvenienced in consequence. Making the Home Turn, CONSTELLATION was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOUTH CHINA NINETY. On straightening, BULLISH KID became unbalanced and lost its footing in front. When questioned, W M Lai (SOUTH CHINA NINETY) said he was not able to shift to the inside of BULLISH KID to obtain clear running as that horse was not finishing the race off and he was concerned if he came back behind that horse it would lose ground in front of him. He said because of this SOUTH CHINA NINETY was not able to obtain clear running for the major part of the Home Straight and as a result was not properly tested. Over the final 200 Metres, AWESOME EAGLE hung in. After the 200 Metres, CONSTELLATION was steadied when disappointed for running between BEAMING RIVER and SUPER SPECIAL. SUPER SPECIAL and AWESOME EAGLE were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 18 May 2006)
The Veterinary Officer reported that BULLISH KID was this morning found to be sore in the left front tendon. Before being allowed to race again, BULLISH KID will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
