Racing Incident Report

VALUE CHOICE was a little slow to begin and then lost further ground when crowded for room between TREMENDOUS PLUS which shifted out and DECAGONAL which shifted in after beginning awkwardly. In the early stages, DECAGONAL, VALUE CHOICE and TREMENDOUS PLUS proved difficult to settle. After the 1000 Metres, SWEET BABY was left racing without cover. Near the 900 Metres and again at the 800 Metres, TREMENDOUS PLUS was crowded for room inside COSMO SUCCESSOR which when travelling wide and without cover got its head on the side and shifted in momentarily. After the 200 Metres, RAMPANT LION, which was hanging in and closing the race off nicely, was steadied to avoid the heels of VALUE CHOICE which was carried in by COSMO SUCCESSOR. After this, RAMPANT LION was shifted out. Because of these circumstances, RAMPANT LION was not fully tested. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied the riding of G Mossé (FIRST KNIGHT) did not affect the horse's placing in the race, he nonetheless was told he must ensure he rides his mounts out appropriately at all times where circumstances permit. SOLDIER ON, HAPPY MASTER and MAGI JOY were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported SHANGDONG SCHOLAR had bled from both nostrils.
