Racing Incident Report

CITI CENTRE was withdrawn on 29.10.01 on veterinary grounds (internal bleeding) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MILLENNIUM DAWN. MALAYAN PEARL jumped awkwardly, then just after the start was bumped by MILLENNIUM DAWN which shifted out abruptly. DANDY BUNNY was slowly away, then on straightening was shifted out to find running, was initially disappointed for running between INCA ROSE and PREDATOR, was then held up behind FORTUNE TYCOON and about 100 Metres out obtained running between FORTUNE TYCOON and PREDATOR. Turning out of the Straight the first time, FORTUNE TYCOON was steadied to avoid the heels of MILLENNIUM LEGEND (K H Ting) which shifted in when not quite clear. K H Ting was told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. Near the 400 Metres, INCA ROSE, which was giving ground, was steadied when momentarily crowded by MILLENNIUM LEGEND. About the 200 Metres, MALAYAN PEARL was checked when crowded between DANDY BUNNY which shifted out slightly and BOLD VISION which was taken in slightly by SPECTACULAR TALK. After being checked at about the 200 Metres, MALAYAN PEARL was not ridden out. Over about the last 100 Metres, BOLD VISION was not able to obtain running and as a consequence was not ridden out to the finish as it normally would be. DANDY BUNNY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
